Miles of natural landscape can be explored in the Niobrara State Park and Lewis & Clark State Recreation Area. Don’t forget your camera or binoculars to view birds and wildlife.

World’s Only Winnetoon Historical Boardwalk is a walk back in time through the 1910 lots. This step back in time features a mall, operational post office, and antique store. Find an original Winnetoon Turd Bird as the perfect conversational piece.

7. Explore Knox County waterways

Nebraska has over 70,000 miles of rivers and streams, the most of any state. In Knox County, you will find the confluence of the Niobrara and Missouri river and the second largest lake in Nebraska, Lewis & Clark Lake. Bring your kayak, canoe or rent them from vendors.
